convertfiles.com used to convert youtube files, but they say now they're 
having temporary issues with youtube, but they've been saying that for a few 
weeks now.  It's a great free service though.

Howard, there used to be a site where you could convert Youtube files to mp3
files.  Do you know if you can do that with the site below?  Jim WA6EKS

I found this page, while trying to convert an avi file to an mp3 file.
They also do free OCR, and text to mp3.
