Thanks to those of you who responded to my post about objects in Word. 
After much experimentation, and assistance from a sighted person, I 
discovered they're all images. In some cases, I can edit (i.e., make 
them bigger or smaller), but in most, I can't do anything aside from 
move or delete them. So I can't change the text they contain to another 
language.

I've already contacted the client about non-image versions, and since 
the client is in a hurry, I suspect the charts and tables will go 
untranslated.
