I don't know if my sweetie-to-be will trust me to make her coffee, Kathy.
Smile. Especially after she hears about the miracle of the burning
microwave (instead of the burning bush). But if she ever does read these
notes I want her to know I've been doing better. Today I cooked ribs in the
oven. Okay, I cheated and used one of those bags you put the ribs and
spices in and basically leave them in there for an hour and a half. I also
made hash brown potatoes (okay, they're frozen and you just heat them up in
the oven).
There was only one slight problem. For some reason when I was taking the
hash browns out, I tried to pick the whole baking sheet up with the tongs I
used to pick up the ribs. Don't do that. The hash browns fell off the
sheet and one of them fell on the hot element on the bottom of the oven and
started to catch fire. But I knocked it loose and got it out of there and
everything seems to be okay, except my heart which seems to be slowing down
to normal now, too. (I thought faster heart rates made you lose weight
anyway?).
So I am doing better. But I do hope she hurries here before I burn the
place down.
