I have the same situation and it doesn't seem to have any effect on either
antenna.

Subject: Antenna questions
Hello list. I have some Antenna questions. I have a multi-band dipole
antenna that I am using for 10 through 80 meters. I want to put up a
vertical antenna that will work on 10 through 20 or maybe 40 meters. Am not
sure about it's coverage because someone gave the vertical to me and I don't
have an accessible manual.
Anyway, my question is that, when the vertical is up, the dipole will cross
the plain of the vertical maybe 4 to 5 feet from the vertical. Do any of
you folks think there will be any significant adverse interaction between
the dipole and vertical.
Should I try to locate the vertical farther from the dipole? Am pretty
restricted on options. Thanks for your comments and 73, Jim WA6EKS
