Hi Gery,
I agree with you that there are some wonderful people in the ham radio
community. Its wonderful that you are continuing on with advancing through
the ham radio licensing program. I received my Extra in 1989, and have kept
it current ever since.
A few days ago I found out that my step father in law used to have a
business in commercial two way radio. He still has a few repeaters ETC
sitting around. I am wondering if perhaps there is a chance I could buy
one... Smile. I wonder how I could figure out a fare market price for one.

God bless,
Mark, (WZ0K)
God loves You!

Subject: generosity of ham operators

I recently found out that some one who does some programming for the Sherif=
f's Office where I work is a ham operator. He is hooking me up with a vhf =
and a uhf radio. I can honestly say that for the most part ham operators a=
re there for each other and will try to help out if they can. I feel bless=
ed that someone is taking the time to think of me and is unselfishly giving=
equipment without expecting anything for it. This attitude is what drives=
me to continue with the hobby. I am now a general class operator and am n=
ow working and studdying to become an extra.
