     My TS 440 has the key bounce also. I would love it if you could send 
the information for the repair people also.

Debby and all, the keybounce was quite common in a group of, but not
all, of the 440S.  there was also a problem with bad compound in some
of them.  Kenwood did repairs on many of the rigs, and there are
several Kenwood repair persons who can still do the repairs.  I've
owned and successfully used several of the 440SATS over the years, and
to me at least, they're ___Still one of ___The Best, Most Accessible,
and most comfortable rigs to operate and listen to, whether the
operator is blind or sighted.
If you wish, I'll go back through my slightly "packratted" email, and
get you a name, address, and phone number of a good Kenwood Tec/I'm
not_ on any kind of retainer and have no financial connection with any
repair shop.
