Thank you my good friend. We must remember you come from Luther's church.
I suspect many protestants since have separated further from the church he
founded than they would care to admit. The sad part of this dialog is:
Many of the different branches of the Catholic Faiths. Such as Greek and
Russian orthodox feel no dialog is even possible, and they refuse to engage
in any. As they feel our differences outweigh our similarities. While
there are those who feel dialog is still possible. I spent a couple of
hours last evening listening to a pod cast where an orthodox monk was
invited to lecture at an evangelistic college. He felt dialog was possible
and was important in this modern age in which we live. He said there were
those who have given up this idea of dialog between the Faiths. I am of
that mind now. It is interesting to know the original Macedonian church to
which our dear Saint Paul preached still exists in Macedonia, and that since
the fall of communism in 20 years the Russian Orthodox Church has grown four
fold. Which gives to us all hope that regardless the godless government
which might rule over us, Christianity will survive regardless.
