Thanks for everyones help! The Fancy Food Show had me stuffed so I hardly had room to eat out. Below is all the info I was given about SF for any of you heading that way. Have fun!

1) My absolute favorite gf bakery in the world is Mariposa, they serve breakfast and lunch- Enjoy!!

SF Ferry Building address is: One Ferry Building, Suite 32 San Francisco, CA 94111

SF Bakeshop regular hours: Monday-Saturday 8-6 Sunday 10-5 tel: 510-595-0955

2) There is a place called pica pica that is totally Gluten Free (all corn tortilla's). I went there a few times during my stay in San Fran. http://picapicakitchen.com/

3) There is also a dedicated GF bakery inside of the ferry building along the water. http://www.mariposabaking.com/index.html.

4) there's also a ton of other naturally GF foods within the ferry building (local seafood, fruit) etc,

 5) My son lives in San Fran. Whenever I go there, I google "gluten-free restaurants San Francisco", and it comes up with a long list. I also find most places at Fishermans Wharf will accommodate you quite nicely, especially Rainforest Cafe.

6) Scoma's restaurant (pricey but delish) on Fisherman's Wharf.

7) For a fast-food place, In and Out Burger, you can get their burgers w/o a bun, they will wrap in lettuce for you, and their fries are GF. They have several locations.

8) Also near Fisherman's Wharf is a little place called Hot Spud.

9) I'm pretty sure there is Amici's pizza in SanFran and several other places. I can't remember more off the top of my head. You should check www.glutenfreeregistry.com for more places to eat. I found it quite easy to eat there. I think California gets more requests for gluten-free than some places.

10) I like Bar Bambino, Nopalito, Zuni Cafe (tho lunch is a little thin on the gluten-free options...go for dinner), and Hog Island Oyster Co. in the Ferry Building.

11) Go to Pica Pica for authentic arepas. And the place is all gf.

12) Asqew Grill for grilled meat/vegetable skewers. Very good, inexpensive and very aware of gf. They have a few locations in San Fran.
