Fry's offers 30-day return on most things; 15 days on CPU and RAM,
though.
The only board from Fry's that I've had die (or possibly arrive
DOA) was replaced with no problem.
Two caveats:
1. Do not expect to get all of the information about a particular
board from (a) the box blurbs, (b) the price sign feature list, or
(c) the not-so-knowledgable staff (in rough order of helpfulness).
Best bet is probably to do a preliminary recon to see what they have
(it changes, and is never exhaustive), and then spend a day or two in
research to determine which of those choices fits your needs and
budget.
2. I've occasionally bought things at Fry's which appeared to be
returned goods, repackaged. I haven't seen this on any motherboard
yet, but that might just be the luck of the draw.
