I can't explain it but after a lot of headaches and looking the radio is
working again.
I have no explanation for this but the sm-20 desk mike was plugged into the
back mike jack for the 706 mark II g.
I unplugged the desk mike and plugged in the hand mike and the radio came
alive.
I plug the desk mike back in the rear mike jack the radio goes dead.
Now I plug the desk mike into the mike jack on the detachable face plate
mike jack and the radio is just fine.
I can't figure out why the hand mike will work on the rear mike jack and the
desk mike won't.
But the desk mike works great on the front mike jack.
But any way the radio is back on the air.
