Before this gets even uglier lets all take a deep breath, count to 
ten and enjoy the apsects of the hobby that we like.  There are lots 
of things to like and the parts that don't interest you, ignore 
them.  And the amateurs who like the stuff you disdain are no more or 
less hams than are you.
