Hi Howard,

Since this product is sold in the US, I would think it is type accepted by 
the FCC.  At least the little piece of paper that I got with it that fell 
out on the floor and except for my wife seeing it and reading it, I wouldn't 
have known, says so.  Properly run with that telescoping antenna--which I 
run most of the way collapsed, I would doubt it would be heard any more than 
a few houses.  And on one watt, the thing doesn't even get warm--let alone 
hot.

I was only joking about running it on high power with a roof mount antenna.

It seems that we "Hams" shouldn't jeopardize our license by operating
illegal transmitters.  We of all people should know better!
