Hi All,
I'm having trouble sending messages from Thunderbird, and I'm wondering
if the problem is my system or Thunderbird.
When I send a message with ctrl+enter, I get an error message telling me
my internet has timed out. This makes no sense because I often have a
web page open when I get this error. One thing I have noticed is that
I'm much, much more likely to get this message if another message is
open. for example, if I read a message, hit ctrl+r to reply, write a few
lines or paragraphs, then hit ctrl+enter, I get the error until I hit
alt+tab and close the message I'm replying to. That said, I sometimes
get the error even after I close the other message. Sometimes saving the
message I'm trying to send fixes the problem, and every once in a while,
I just have to start over. So far (knock on wood), it hasn't happened in
my Exchange account, but it does happen in my SBC Global accounts, which
are Yahoo Mail. I don't send mail from my Gmail account very often, so I
don't remember if the problem happens there.
The reason I'm wondering if it's a Thunderbird issue is that it started
happening after the news story about Thunderbird no longer being
maintained by Mozilla. The problems started one or two updates after that.
I'm using Windows 10 and Jaws 17.
Is anyone else having these issues?
Ciao
