As a member of MN.IT's senior executive team, you will provide
strategic leadership and agile operational management to focus on
the delivery of services
that meet the evolving information technology needs of the State,
agencies, and user/clients consistent with MN.IT's Master Plan.
This position will execute the strategic vision of MN.IT by
aligning MN.IT's operational areas and services to industry best
practices and trends. This
includes, but is not limited to: continual buy vs. build
analysis on all activities and projects; continuously improving
and adding services to bring down
costs; roadmap and execute on aligning ratio of public vs.
private cloud hosting that matches industry levels; own the
relationships with strategic vendors
in this space to find efficiencies and insure MN.IT is leveraging
relationships to the fullest extent.
Key responsibilities include:
-Responsible for all Enterprise Operation's Service Delivery
(EOSD) functions, sub-functions (managed hosting, end user
services, WAN/LAN services) and
applications including the development, operations, support,
maintenance and financial management of the area
-Provide visionary leadership for the EOSD functions to
anticipate and respond to current and future State and client
requirements
-Develop budgets, manage spending and monitor expenses in order
to run a fiscally responsible function with MN.IT
-Manage employee relations, costs, productivity, hiring,
performance, and retention for direct reports. Oversee all
facets of employee work and hiring
within the division
-Develop and maintain strong and productive working relationships
with senior leadership in MN.IT Services and other State
agencies. -This position will
oversee 24x7 operations which may require alternative shifts
-This position requires travel between MN.IT agency based offices
and data centers Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must clearly
demonstrate all of the
following qualifications in their resume:
Position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive IT
experience in a large enterprise serving multiple clients,
service divisions or agencies
AND five (5) years of managerial/supervisory experience.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management
or related field Demonstrated experience leading the following
technical areas: -Managed
hosting
-End-user services (Help Desk, Work Station Management) -WAN and
LAN technologies/services Large scale project management
experience Financial capability
to operate in a fee for service model with relatively high level
of
complexity Experience managing hybrid private/public cloud
environments Experience in a service delivery model organization
