Hi all,
Is there any way to open Mac Pages files in Windows?
I collect all student homework by email, and though my syllabus tells
students to submit their work in doc, docx, or rtf file format, I always
have a few Mac and iOS users who forget, even after I send them
information on exporting pages files. Most of the time, I'm happy to
stick to my guns, but sometimes I think it would be much easier if I
could just open the files myself.
I've searched the web, and what I've found is that there is no way to
open pages files in Windows or any plugin or website that does this.
A couple of forums have suggested changing the file extension from pages
to zip, then extracting the file. I just did this and had no success.
does anyone have other suggestions or wisdom on getting the zip method
to work? I have an iPhone somewhere collecting dust. I'm thinking I
could use that to convert the file, but am wondering if I really want to
spend money on Pages, etc.
any suggestions?
Ciao
