Android has a handful of accessible notepad apps, which handle txt
files. As far as I know, the only accessible text editor that works with
Word and rtf files is Google Drive. Other Android users have told me
that Jota and Text Maker are accessible, but I've had trouble reviewing
text with them, so I hesitate to say they're accessible.

4.3 has on-screen text selection, but it's still not working very well.
We're in the middle of a TalkBack beta, so I'm hoping this cycle helps.
I've only recently started to use a hardware keyboard with modern
Android. Text selection works better that way, but I haven't figured out
all the odds and ends.
