In Windows 7, outlook doesn't totally close by using the alt F4 key. In
fact, that key combination is not a reliable way to close lots of programs.
The only reliable way to shut down Outlook is to hit alt F to get the file
menu, then arrowing up one and hitting enter on the Exit command in that
menu.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Outlook 2003 Question:

I'm using outlook 2003 with Windows Seven.

When I exit Outlook using the alt f4 keys, I still hear the sound of mail
coming in on the computer. Also, when I did the ITunes update the other day
it said that Outlook was still opened.

Is there something I should be doing to shut it down completely?

Thanks in advance.
