Ok thanks Michael. I think that a dipole passing 3 to 4 or 5
feet from the vertical wouldn't qualify as a metal structure like
a chain link fence or steel building, will probably go with it
because it's about all I can do. Thanks, Jim WA6EKS

Hi Jim:=20
=46rom my research into verticals the past year, allot recommend
to keep you=
r vert at least 20 feet from metallic structures. I would also
include a met=
al overhead wiring and metal fencing in that catagory.=20
That said, you have to go with what you got. Not everyone has a
yard big eno=
ugh to keep a vert a hundred feet away from metallic structures
and have roo=
m for 60 radials at 66 feet long. Lol=20
Considering you got it for free, put it up, put down a couple of
radials and=
see what happens. You might be pleasantly surprised. You could
look at a ro=
of mount option too.=20
I'm hoping to put up my Zero Five vert this weekend.=20
