I really don't know why so many people have so much trouble with usb to 
serial adapters, I get ones with the prolific chips in them and have yet to 
have a problem especially if you use the latest drivers. Oh well, to each 
his own I'd never pay for a program when I don't have to especially when I 
have to learn an entirely different screen reader I'd probably use for just 
that one program.
