This is Mike, (KD2CDU), glad I was able to get on the 20 meter round
table. I am trying to be patient in getting my antennas up. In
December I moved up here on a Mountain about 1700 feet. We had a
wire about 150 feet. This spring I put up a horrizontal loup about
580 feet,, and it has improved signals a little. I have a 48 feet
tower, which I am going to put a 3 element 6 meter beam, a 12 element
2 meter beam and a hex beam, with a yasu roter which the glass comes
off and you can feel the hand point.
Also I am going to put up a 80 meter windam antenna and a 40 meter
antenna. When the truck comes with a 65 foot boom.
When it stops rainning, then I can have things get started. As I
say, it is a work in progress.
Also I am retiring in the middle of July. I will have more time to
be on the ham bands, but after 33 and a half years, it is a big
change. Just so used to going to work!
I hope to be able to talk more, and sometimes talk to different
people and learn from you some of the things you have and get to hear
your voices, and all.
Have a good day.
KD2CDU.
