Hi Howard,

The TS990 has a touch screen, and I noted in the RadCom review there was a
small criticism that if accidentally touched, the reviewer changed
frequency, but could not immediately jump back.

I just hope Palstar implement their talking technology with advise from a
knowledgeable blind operator. I'm not sure I would want unnecessary chatter
while I was feeling for a control to make a small adjustment to improve
reception.

Best wishes, Kelvin Marsh - M0AID

Hi John,

Palstar has a new radio coming out that has a touch screen, however, I was
told by the owner of Palstar at Dayton when I looked at the prototype that
the screen will talk. The one on display did not talk yet. Paul said the
buttons will talk as you move your finger over the screen and you lift your
finger to tap to activate the button. We will have to wait to see if it is
for real.
