The way I send an attachment, is to
1. Highlight the attachment
2. Press the right click menu
3. Go to the "send to pulldown"
4. Press right arrow to open the pull down menu
5. Use the down arrow to highlight "e-mail recipient".
6. Press enter, which opens my e-mail client, and puts the
cursor in the to
address field.

Works in XP with outlook express, and 7 with Windows Live mail.
I assume
this will work with what ever operating system and default e-mail
client you
are using.
