Definitely strange band conditions. CHU was S9+10, which indicates
reasonable propagation to Ottawa. And with the high solar flux I would
have expected short skip, not long. But the geomagnetic field has been all
over the place since last night. We'll see what develops on 20 meters
tomorrow afternoon!
