Butch,

I use an MFJ 297 mike.  It has four programmable buttons plus  ptt  lock and 
mute buttons.  You can use the mike on any transceiver with the proper cable 
which is also available from MFJ.  I'm actually using three of these mikes 
and for $69, they work quite well.
