Hi Dave, yes you are right, and back then, you, or at least I, didn't have 
that much of a problem deciding which crystal pairs to install.  There 
weren't that many repeaters around.  The C model had 12 channels where the 
straight TR22 had six I think.    I remember when the synthesized rigs 
started coming out.  Even then, I started being concerned about how that 
would change the QSO environment on our club repeater.  It did, but not 
necessarily for the worse.  73, Jim

Hi Jim,

You had the C.  I had the rig before that which was the original TR22.  It
was built like a tank with it's all metal construction.  Heaven forbid if
you dropped it on your foot.  Hihi!
