Wow, I have never experienced those issues at stoplights. I
guess you should just listen to CD's or an MP3 player connected
via hard wire or bluetooth to your car stereo, or, just turn it
all off and listen to your ham rig! Jim WA6EKS

Subject: Fm transmitters
the only thing I don't like about the recent rash of in car FM
transmitters is that often now, when sitting at a stop light or
something,
someone will pull up beside or behind you and their 1W FM
transmitter will
bury the radio station you are trying to listen to...more often
than not
you'll hear their gangsta rap or something equally as anoying.
It never
lasts long, but it happens all the time now.
Or, if you use an FM transmitter in your car, tuned to a clear
frequency,
someone else will have a higher powered transmitter on the same
frequency
and it'll bury your transmitters signal when they are nearby.
Most anoying. I can't count how many times we've had some
punjabi pop
come blasting in at a stop light lol.
but, that is the nature of devices that share common
frequencies.

Hi,
These fm transmitters are also sold on Amazon.com. I couldn't
believe it
when I saw them there, but I bought the 7 watt model for $89.00
from
Amazon
including shipping. The one watt power setting is good for a
one mile
range
so I keep the transmitter in the basement as I don't want to
compete with
any local radio stations.

Below are a couple of listings on eBay that I found that are
pretty
similar
to what Butch mentioned. They are the same I think except the
first one
does not come with an antenna while the second one is complete
including
the antenna. The second one sure sounds pretty good to me. --
