I do it all the time, it is not a separate application on the mac, it is applied to whichever window or group you want to apply it to.

Subject: [VICUG-L] a couple of mac questions
 
Hi list, I may soon be switching from a PC to a Mac at work.  Wondering if anyone can shed some light on the accessibility features of the latest mac OS.  I am quite familiar with voice over, but am wondering if there are any zoom features or screen enhancements as well. 
I currently use Zoom Text magnification and screen reading combined on my Windows 7 PC.
