Hi Kelvin: 

I'm not a user of this amp but Ameritron offers both an automatic band switch which you connect to your exciter and to an RJ-45 jack on the back of the amp. You can also get a unit that controls the power on/off, band change and standby. This unit connects to a 2nd RJ-45 on the amp. Both these accessories cost about 150USD. Check out the Ameritron site and check out www.ad5x.com. Phil has some nice reviews on both the 1300 and 600.
