Thank you to all who gave me suggestions for my holiday travels. I was traveling from Minneapolis, MN to Shreveport, LA and back to Minneapolis, MN. Here's what I found:

1. Chipotle. Fayetteville, AR. Chipotle is a general 'go-to' for me as I travel. I had my typical rice bowl. Unfortunately, though they changed their gloves and washed their hands, I still got glutened. There was likely some type of gluten in it - I, like most Celiacs, am extremely sensitive.

2. Olive Garden. Shreveport, LA. I was surprised that the server was knowledgeable and prepared for gluten free requests. It was a good meal and I didn't get sick.

3. Long Horn Steakhouse. Shreveport, LA. I dined with family and everything was great. It was nice to not get sick.

4. Orange Leaf. Shreveport, LA. I loved this frozen yogurt place! They had an allergy guide handy.

5. Ta Molly's. Texarkana, AR. This was my first experience with this restaurant. It was wonderful! I didn't get sick, the service was wonderful and the staff was knowledgeable!

6. Waldo's Pizza. Kansas City, MO. This place was incredibly busy! We waited an hour to get in and the wait was worth it. There was plenty of gluten free options, including delightful dessert!

7. Bread and Chocolate. Minneapolis, MN. I live in Minneapolis and have many options here. My husband bought me Christmas cookies for our holiday trip. Unfortunately, I was glutened by them.

I didn't eat out as much as I thought I would. I brought along some gluten free staples along with me:
Yogurt
Crackers
Cheese
Cereal and Milk
Leftover turkey meatloaf
Edamame

Thanks! Happy New Year!

Heather
