Those 1625 finals sound like they were in an old military surplus ARC-5
transmitter. I used a converted ARC-5 transmitter and receiver, e.g.
BC-457. I also had a BC-348 receiver and a BC-610 transmitter too. The A-M
audio on the BC-610 with a D-104 microphone was the best audio on the air.    

And then came the introduction of sideband and the A-M verses sideband war!
