I have already started, without using the amplifier. This year won't be as
strong an effort as last year.
Conditions are starting out rather disturbed, but there are some good
signals on 40 at the moment.

Subject: CQ WW CW Contest Now Starting: Is Anyone Playing?

Hi, all.

On a much happier note, is anyone planning to play in the CQ Worldwide CW
contest this week-end?

It runs for the next 48 hours, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern, and goes until 7
p.m. Eastern on Sunday. It is in the CW portions of all the usual bands--10
through 160.

Conditions look to be pretty good, so lots of DX can be had if you are a CW
op and have the time to participate.

I won't be doing the contest all week-end, because of other commitments at
times, but plan to wrack up some contacts, and hopefully some rare ones as
well.
