I just listened to all 27 minutes of that movie. Some of the communication
sounded rather fake. But one thing that wasn't fake was the way AM sounded:
selective fading and lots of heterodynes.

After the war, when ham radio operation was resumed, and for a few years,
you needed to have an Advanced class license to operate phone on 75 or 20
meters. There was not a 15 meter band, and 40 meters was CW only. So many
hams could only work phone on 160 and on 10. By the time I got my license
in 1955, these restrictions had been lifted, but the braille study materials
I could obtain included the old limits.

Hi List,

Try this link. You really should send messages to this list in plain
text. Otherwise you get those equal signs at the end of each line. In
addition, this address is one of the longest I have ever seen. It wraps
over 3 and a half lines. Make sure you copy the whole thing with
standard Windows copy and paste keystrokes. See if this works.

Also, the player is some sort of embedded Flash Player. Using NVDA,
highlight the 'embedded object' reference. Press the object navigation
keystroke insert + space bar and then root around using the review mode
and left clicking with numpad slash. This works most of the time. For
other screen readers--especially JAWS, lots of luck!
