Welcome Daniel,
My name is Dan. I use the wouxun uv6 and agree that the original software was difficult to maneuver. This is software from www.powerwerx.com<http://www.powerwerx.com/>, that I ordered with the cable that was a bit easier to maneuver.
There is still a lot of routing, but it was quick to catch on to what is needed to do.
It was approximately $49.00, but that is with the cable included. Am not sure if it is available without the cable if you own it already. Hope this helps.

Subject: New member To The List
Hello list,
My name's Daniel. I am new to this list and figure I'd introduce myself.
I'm a technision ham operator since 2005, callsign originally Ki4JFT
but changed to KJ4YOD. I've yet to obtain the next class of license
but I'll eventually get there.
I recently brought a new ham radio, being that my kenwood radio broke.
It's a Wouxun KG-UVD1P, 2 meeter duel band radio.
I'm looking for a manual in HTML, or at least software that can
program the radio properly. I tried the original software that came
with the radio but I use Jaws, and I have to route Jaws to PC quite
often, which doesn't work most of the time.
Does anyone have, or have ever used, a Wouxun KG-UVD1P radio before?
If I can, I can attempt programming in frequencies manually, but it
seems complex.
This is only my second ham radio, so any help would be appreciated
with it. I don't want to return it if I can acquire the help I need.
Thanks and have a good day.
73,
KJ4YOD
