Sheikh  Yusef AlQaradawi, the Qatar based  grand mufti of the Muslim brotherhood has declared the IS caliphate  in Syria and Iraq as void, and contrary to the laws of Sharia.  The same declaration is coming from influential Jihadi scholars in the Middle east.
As an African Muslim, I find it disturbing that many of these scholars and their respective surrogates supported the terrorist take over of Mali, and they were either quite or condemned the French intervention in Mali as foreign meddling.
Now that the problem is at their doorstep, Fatwas are coming from  Sheikhs and Muftis in the region declaring the Jihadists of IS caliphate as terrorists or "deviants" to be dealt with severely. Sometimes one wonders whether in this religion we all share, it is a case of "them and us".
