What a club will or will not do, depends solely on the club. It is
impossible for someone not familiar with that club to give you an answer. I
personally have never heard of a club buying a prospective member a radio.
There may be such organizations, but I have never heard of one. I was
president of a club for over 11 years, and we certainly didn't buy
prospective members equipment of any kind.
