the male voice is bolder, er, fort collins colorado, and the female voice is 
honalulu hawaii.
I'm not sure of the technical bit, but they carry two modulated signals on 
the carrier...so you will often hear some phasing going on between state 
side and hawaii on the time signature...you know the ticking clock sound. 
They will sometimes get a little out of sink due to phasing or multi-pathing 
or something.  But you listen for the male and female voice and you can 
determine which is stronger by ear.
Someone can explain how they manage to put both cariers on the same 
frequency without experiencing hetrodyne.
