Did we miss the point by much?

C'mon, if you wanna nit pick the episode, you missed a few:

1) Ed didn't ID properly. He should have ID'ed as PY8/W0ASQ, not WB0ASQ/PY8.

2) No one ID'ed except for the first time.

3) Everyone was S9 Moreover, everyone was FM quality, there were no tuner uppers, no QRM, and no QSB.

I could probably think of some more.

But you missed the point. Maybe someone yelled at her off the air or something. Who cares? But you still missed the point:

1) Ham radio is fun.

2) "Ham radio is like twitter, except more sophisticated because you don't have to type." (Yes, it's the original social network.)

3) Ham radio is educational. (Mandy learned a lot of stuff that helped her write a better term paper.)

4) Ham radio lets you talk to people all over the place. (Ed wa in Brazil, out on the Amazon somewhere, and then there's the Russian woman.)

So, all in all, not bad. OK, Mandy didn't have a license, and the other hams didn't yell at her for that on the air. It's TV. It's "artistic license".
