I hope the vr500 isn't as deaf as the vx5 and on up to the vx8 on HF 
bands...
It's great and wonderful that they thought to add HF receive capability, but 
it's almost pointless because it's so deaf on those Yaesu HT's.
I have heard excellent things about the vr500 though, so I would imagine it 
has a better all around receiver in it.
