I have a Yaesu VR-500 but it cost somewhere above $300. I bought
it more than 10 years ago and it's not as sensitive as I would
like but it does am. Fm, both narrow and wide, has keypad entry,
covers from around 200 Khz to 1.3 Ghg, and will cover Ssb as
well. It's pretty accessible. Jim WA6EKS 5try1 ----- Original

Subject: swl radio with keypad entry

Hello guys,
A friend of mine is looking for a shortwave receiver with keypad
frequency entry. I've had a Yachtboy for many years here, and he
would
probably like something similar. I think he's willing to spend
$100 - $200.

Any suggestions?
