It sounds to me like you do not have the correct plug arrangement for the 
keyer and your TS590.

Remember that the TS590 takes a large stereo phono plug for the keyer 
connection.  There is a ground, and then the two other connections--one for 
the dits and one for the dahs.

I am thinking that if you correct that situation, it should just be a matter 
then of configuring the sides of your keyer for the sending set-up you are 
most confortable with.
