Man, Tom, you check your connectors every month?  I'm definitely not 
obsessive-compulsive or anal about them, I usually fire up and do a quick 
check to make sure my SWR is near normal.  Then, I just have a QSO.

My Astron RS35 is 27 years old, and except when I was stupid and blew the 
power regulating transistor, I've never had a problem with it.  It supplies 
13.1 volts to the 590.
