I'm hearing a lot of problems with the newer Kenwood cables for some reason, 
since they switched to the newer style plug. I don't know if they went to 
cheaper cords and fuse holders as well or what. It's strange. I don't have 
anything with that style plug on it so can't offer an opinion that way, 
everything I have has the 6 pin plug still which I've had good luck with.
