My RFI problem, or at least what I thought was an RFI problem, was solved 
simply.  I exchanged the carbon monoxide detector what was being tripped off 
with another one, and now, no problems.  No other signs of RFI anywhere, sso 
I think that's it.

I got a reply back from Scott Davis (N3FJP), with some suggested changes in 
settings, which I will try.  He also suggests that this could be a Windows 7 
issue.  Never had this problem with my old XP laptop, which finally died.

This is why I'm looking for another one, since I've had so many problems 
with Windows 7 and the N3FJP software from the start.

Will keep you posted.
