In my opinion, Open Book is the best OCR for a JAWS user due to the fact it
is manufactured by the same company, and uses the same synth. It integrates
with JAWS perfectly. The only negative is it is quite expensive.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Quick question about Jaws and OCR software
Hi all
Just a quick question. What OCR package do people feel works best with Jaws
at the moment for a beginner user? Also, can anyone suggest a good email
discussion list for a Jaws beginner to join to get advice from other users?
I'm just writing up a funding bid for a student who's just about to start
using Jaws for the first time.
Thanks
Ian Francis
