I just returned from 12 days in Frankfurt. While I prefer to stay in apartments with kitchens, I was unable to on this trip. Eating out in local restaurants was difficult. Most local dishes come with some sort of sauce or gravy. I did enjoy sautéed fish at two restaurants. Watch out for wurst at fast food stalls, as they are fried in oil which may be contaminated. The fries can also be a problem. My hotel breakfast was great. They purchased gf rolls and made me fresh eggs and bacon. As is true everywhere, the finer the restaurant, the easier it was; however, everyone wanted to please and accommodate me. The gf food on American Airlines was perfectly awful.
