Danny,
Google would like it if you install Chrome, but as you know, it still isn't
very screen reader friendly. Of course, there will come a day when IE 8
isn't supported, but when that happens, you'll have far larger issues since
XP itself will be dead. For the moment, though, you're good until Microsoft
pulls the plug on XP, which is scheduled to happen in 2014. Of course,
there's always the chance that Web technology will change sooner, but
there's not much point in speculating on that since we don't know what the
change will be, or how it will affect us.
