I am also using Microsoft Security Essentials. It is very accessible and
does an excellent job. I used to use Symantec or the Norton Security
package, and while it worked okay, it was not very accessible, and it was a
big memory hog. Plus, it cost money to initially purchase, and it cost
money to renew it each year. It is not recommended to have more than one
security package on your system at the same time because they will often
conflict with each other and end up causing you more trouble.

I recommend MS Security Essentials; it is free and MS seems to keep it
current.
