Hi all.
Looking to replace an Asus M4A785-M and am seeking recommendations.
I have a friend's Phenom 9850 system that she said has experienced
problems since first purchased: inexplicable reboots, either while in
use or with no activity; at times no video upon boot, though it appears
to be posting correctly (no error beeps, normal drive activity, etc).
From reading online I've found lots of users that experience same
issues with this board. System components pass when using diagnostic
utilities, including Asus' own. CMOS reset, OS re-install, memory and
P/S swap didn't help. BIOS upgrade failed (but from what I've read, even
if successful, BIOS update does not resolve issue for most). Traded
emails daily with Asus support, however, once I requested an RMA, no
more response from Asus.
Seeking recommendations for replacement, or maybe some tips of solving
issue with this board. TIA
