Several people have written to ask if I was diagnosed celiac.
After our daughter was diagnosed celiac in 2002, we were all tested. I
had positive blood test IgA & IgG and got rid of 30yrs of irritable
bowel by giving up gluten. The reason for the gastro visit was because I
started having gas, diarrha and occasional stomach pain starting in
July. The TTG was to see if I was getting gluten I was not aware of.

I know they recommend a colonoscopy after you are 50. The intent of my
question was whether the doctor is rushing things saying he wants to do
biopsies before he even sees what is going on or if they should be just
"as needed.".

Thanks to all those who are reply. I will summarize.
