Hi all -

After a run of extremely bad happenings in my life (family deaths, mom's debilitating stroke, job change due to these, etc) I have come to a decision to try a limited run of antidepressants. I have seen a list of GF antidepressants, but would like recommendations from real people.
A family member had an extremely bad gluten reaction to the generic form of Lexapro, which is what my non-GF 86 year old mother takes (my brother was killed in a traffic accident). As an RN I have patients who take Celexa with very good results, but would need to know whether I'd need the generic or brand name, if someone else has had excellent results with a different medication, etc. Zoloft is an older drug commonly used in the elderly, so I see it used a lot.

All suggestions will be weighed. My current regimen of exercise, meditation, and work just isn't cutting it.

Thank you very much -

Kathy, RN
(Ordinary home care nurse)
